TrustEstimate ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with when you use the TrustEstimate app.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following types of data:

  • Account information: Your name and email address when you register.

  • Business details: Company name, address, VAT number, and other business info you voluntarily enter.

  • Job data: Job categories, descriptions, client names, addresses, and notes you enter when creating estimates.

  • Photos: Job site photos you capture or upload when using the AI estimate feature.

  • Device permissions: Camera access, used only when you actively capture a photo.

2. AI-Powered Estimates & Third-Party Data Sharing

TrustEstimate uses artificial intelligence to generate cost estimates. When you use the AI estimate feature, we send data to third-party AI services.

Data sent to OpenAI (api.openai.com) Purpose: AI-powered job cost estimation.

  • Job site photo (as image data)

  • Job category and description

  • Additional notes (if provided)

OpenAI processes this data under its own Privacy Policy and API Data Usage Policy. OpenAI does not use API-submitted data to train its models by default. For details, visit openai.com/privacy.

Data sent to Google Gemini (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) Purpose: Generating a visual "after" image of the completed job.

  • Job site photo

  • Job category and description

  • AI-generated estimate summary

Google processes this data under Google's Privacy Policy and API Terms of Service. For details, visit policies.google.com/privacy.

Data is only sent to these services when you explicitly choose to generate an AI estimate by tapping the capture button. We do not send data to AI services in the background.

3. Firebase Authentication

We use Google Firebase for authentication. Firebase collects your email address and manages sign-in credentials. Firebase is operated by Google LLC under Google's Privacy Policy.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To authenticate you and maintain your account

  • To generate AI-powered cost estimates at your request

  • To store your job and business data locally on your device

  • To improve the reliability and performance of the app

5. Data Retention

Job data and business details are stored locally on your device and are not stored on our servers unless you explicitly sync them. Photos are processed by AI services in real time and are not permanently stored by us. Account data is retained until you delete your account.

6. Your Rights & Choices

  • You may refuse AI data sharing by declining the consent prompt — the app will remain functional but AI estimates will not be available.

  • You can withdraw consent at any time in Profile > Privacy Settings.

  • You may delete your account at any time in Profile > Delete Account.

  • To request a copy of or deletion of any data we hold, contact us at the address below.

7. Children's Privacy

TrustEstimate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
